I wanted to help the team. Two apparatus were required of me: uneven bars and beam. The coaches said that I should help the girls psychologically. Our goal was to win medals. It was also necessary to calmly begin our preparation for the Tokyo Olympics. I evaluate my performance not on “five,” but on “four,” said Mustafina on the program “Все на матч”. I am ready to upgrade my program. I was determined to comeback, but not just to train, but also to perform.

Competing in 3/4 events, Mustafina helped the Russian team to wins the silver medal at the last world championships at Doha, Qatar. She also qualified for uneven bars final, where she finished fifth. Aliya plans to compete in all four events in order to go to the olympics as part of Russia team, instead of a specialist.
